This years' Alumni weekend was a success with approximately thirty alumni in attendance. A entertaining Alumni vs. Active slow-pitch softball game and Bar-B-Q was held on Saturday with the Actives pulling out a 6-4 win after 5 grueling innings and several Italian sausages. The Alumni dinner at Tosca Grille was again a great time had by all on Saturday evening and the group returned to the chapter house afterward.
Our Annual Alumni Board Meeting was held on Sunday with these two main topics:
- Water Main leak in the laundry room:
Estimates on repairing this leak are in the 15-20k range. It will require trenching the main line from the house to the street.
The Alumni Board authorized the actives to get a contractor in ASAP to fix it and will be covering the expense. - Selling the lower plot of land to the Little League:
An offer was made by the Troy Little League to buy the entire plot of land that they currently use at our discretion. The offer seems to be a fair one and under the guidance of an attorney the Alumni Board will most likely be accepting the offer.
